I have on numerous occasions heard people talking about creation of human beings as an accident; a part of the big bang theory. For this I just have one question - show me an accident which is so perfect. The human body and the Universe we live in are too perfect in their creation. The way it exists to date is too good to be believed as an accident. It is my personal opinion in any case and is not binding on others. We often ask when did the world start or when did the evolution of species start? These questions lead me to the Vedic work and my journey in Vedic management started. This shift came in because I realized that Vedanta is the most practical guide to run our lives and our organization. The Vedic laws are the Universal laws and can be applied to our lives as well as to run organizations.
Vedanta means culmination of knowledge. It is a systematic formulation of knowledge of life and living. It provides the knowledge to connect with your inner Self, which I prefer to call our higher self. It is the knowledge of living in harmony following the right principles, which ultimately result in success and happiness. ‘Veda’ means knowledge and ‘ant’ means the end. Thus it is the complete comprehensive knowledge for living the right way. It trains you to think on your own and thus become independent by taking charge of yourself.
This is what leadership is all about. Vedanta takes you out of the blind faith and mechanical rituals. It is essentially experimental science of life, like any other scientific experimentation involving intellect. You have to gain the insights on daily basis and that’s where you gain true knowledge and connect with your higher self. Vedanta is beyond the manipulative skills that we learn and tells us how negatively it can affect our lives. The law of ‘cause and effect’ is a principle law in Vedic management.
Vedanta confirms that man alone out of all the living creatures on this planet is gifted with the power of reasoning. This power of thinking and reasoning which is our intellect has to be continually developed. Mostly we focus on scriptures and blind beliefs and do not process our own insights or data. This result in poor understanding of situations we go through and virtually no reflection on the choices we make in lives.
The result is we are absolutely unaware of our own qualities and thus lead a totally dependent life, which results in frustrations and other negative emotions. Vedanta helps you question and reason truths of life. Modern technology has covered this to an extent in transactional analysis (TA). In TA extensive importance is given on processing the child and parent data in the adult mode.
Vedanta is not a religious discourse but a practical set of laws that govern our lives and experimentation with truths of life. This leads to self-realization. A whole lot of issues in organizations of today are because we do not experiment or face up with the truths that are impacting our organizations. This leads in the organizations moving towards wrong choices and lack of desired growth. Growth and happiness is fallout of self-realization and corrective actions through reflections of the choices made in the past. Self-realization is also the right step towards building leadership and empowerment. Vedanta serves you both spiritually and materially.
Material benefits through Vedic management are a result of effective and productive choices that we make. It teaches you to channel energies in the present and make the right choices. It also tells you not to brood over the past or keep looking at the future. It essentially tells you how to operate in the present to secure a bright future. Vedanta provides several laws for efficiency, productivity and prosperity.
Most important of all it connects you with your real self. This is the real supreme bliss. You become aware that the bliss you try to secure from external sources is unachievable. The bliss is within you and comes from the choices you make in life. These choices are an outcome of the self-development process that we have been through. An individual without any development goes no where because of total dependence on the world for the results.
Today, the organizations are plagued with unproductive people who are only manipulating the environment for meeting their personal goals. They are the passengers within the organization. The organizations today need drivers who are the leaders since they can make the right choices to guarantee growth. Vedanta shows you the way to lead an abundant life by being leaders.
If you have not experimented with Vedanta it is time now you did. It is the only practice, which is growth oriented for individuals and the organizations.
